Governed by a Board of Trustees, the Delta Nu Alpha Foundation is a not-for-profit organization, the purpose of which is to support education in the fields of transportation, distribution and logistics. Since its inception in 1987, the Foundation has provided numerous scholarships, research grants, and the funding for The Journal of Transportation Management, published by Georgia Southern University. The Foundation provides continuous support of education in a changing industry. Scholarships of $1,000 to $2,000 are granted annually to students pursuing careers in transportation and logistics and currently studying in schools, colleges, and universities with established programs in these fields. Recent recipients have included students at Western Michigan University, Penn State, Iowa State University, University of North Florida, Wayne State University, Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, and Georgia Southern University. Applicants are judged on academic success, potential, motivation, career plans, recommendation and evaluation by faculty members and internship experience related to transportation and logistics. In March, Scholarships Applications are sent out to Delta Nu Alpha Chapters, Universities, and Colleges. Applicants are judged by a Scholarship Committee comprised of the Foundation Board of Trustees. Recipients are honored at the annual Transportation Education Conference, where they have the opportunity to discuss their career goals, attend the educational sessions, and meet with leaders in their chosen field. Contact a DNA Chapter President or the Delta Nu Alpha Foundation for an application. Gifts to the Foundation qualify as charitable contributions under Federal Tax Laws. Demonstrate your commitment to the future of your chosen profession by sending contributions to: Delta Nu Alpha Foundation Cliff Smith,
